TO ALL F1600 CANADA DRIVERS

I hope your preparations for the 2024 season are going well. You received the 2024 season schedule a few weeks ago. I hereby inform you of the latest developments regarding the 2024 Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada.

We have had numerous discussions with the organization since last October. Briefly, space in the paddocks was not a problem but we also had to get a reasonable track time, for your satisfaction. Unfortunately, Formula 1 administration is unable to grant local promoters the necessary track time. So, F1600 Canada Series will not be on the program for the 2024 edition.

For this reason and to allow you to have a financially affordable season, we have chosen to limit our season to five events, each of two or three events per weekend and are:

May 17-19: Victoria Day SpeedFest - Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport) - 3 races
July 18-20: Lime Rock, Connecticut (USA) - 2 races
August 9-11: Grand prix de Trois-Rivières - 3 races
August 17-18: Calabogie Motorsports Park - 2 races
September 27-29: Fall Classic - Circuit Mont-Tremblant - 3 races

For the events at Circuit Mont Tremblant, please note that the 3 races will be exclusive to F1600 Canada and not included in the Formula Libre programs. However, to confirm this, and for all other events of the season, we need a higher participation rate than last year.

We decided to take over the F1600 Canada to give it back the exposure it deserves through its long history on Canadian racetracks. Furthermore, this series remains an extraordinary level for our young talents of tomorrow and semi pro drivers. For all this and more, we need you all.

To talk about it, the present and the future of the series, and answer all your questions, a meeting will be organized next Saturday March 2 at 9 a.m. at:

Times Hotel
1700 Rue Jeanne-Mance
Laval, QC H7T 0R2

We are waiting for you there!

Jacques Deshaies, promoter F1600 Canada
